The pandemic has been so hard since the start. Economy crashing, distance apart, and locked indoors. The world was cut with a dull knife, cut, but without leaving bumpy ridges on the side. I am going to talk about all of the struggles that I have gone through in this pandemic. It has been so hard for everyone so I want to explain my story!

First, I want to talk about the masks. I personally do NOT like the masks, they are so uncomfortable! I have tried not going out as much since if I were to go out, I would need a mask. Also, I feel like if you look at someone who has a mask on, you cannot really see how they actually look. It is like you can only see half of the personality in the person, it is a bit annoying because if you want to have a conversation, it is good to see someone’s face.

The next topic I will be talking about is remote learning. I think remote learning is much harder than in person schooling. I did remote learning at the start of the year and it really changed me. One of the reasons I think this is because phones and other activities can distract you when you are in virtual. Also, It is way easier to contact the teacher and get help in person because the teacher is right in front of you. Luckily for me, I got a spot for in person school. It was at the end of the school year, so I did not experience everything. I am still very happy that I got a spot so I can see my friends.

The pandemic was more than just a “pandemic”, it was a series of misfortunes and events. Middle school, no, Elementary school. Lockers, no. Locked hearts and feelings. Happy faces, no. Masked faces. This only happens when we don’t change the world. The only way the world can change is if the world changes it.
