I would never imagine going to school during a pandemic. There are many ups and downs. And there are many things we had to push through. All of the sixth graders missed out on fifth grade activities. This year our teacher has been very helpful and has tried to make this year feel normal.
As I said earlier all the sixth graders missed out on many fifth grade activities. We missed out on a traditional graduation. Instead we had to stay in our cars at the High School then go to boyal to get our award. We missed out on field trips. The fifth grade BBQ. And more. This year our Principal Dr. Fama gave us a few extra days that are going to be half days. On those 3 or 4 days we are going to do fun activities to make up for things we missed in fifth grade.
This year I felt bad for all the teachers. I feel like this year all the students have been kind of crazy because we are upset about how this year has been or we were sad. But if we are crazy we shouldn’t have to make the teachers take care of it. They are already doing too much for us and it is not fair to them.
Masks are a huge problem as well. As you probably know if you have kids they probably don’t like wearing masks. People in my class are always near each other without their masks on. It is like they don’t care about covid. The teacher has to remind everyone to wear our masks and I don’t think that is necessary because they students should know the rules already and why we need to wear the masks.
This year everyone was so excited to get lockers. Many people were ready to decorate them as well. And since everyone is back in school we would be too close and we wouldn’t have enough lockers for everyone. Also the fact that there is covid.
